  • I am a digital journalist with a background in graphic design, architecture, and peace, conflict and justice studies. I produce features, podcasts, and graphics on breaking news, global affairs, climate, human rights, history, culture, disinformation, politics and more.

I work at the BBC where I write about developing stories for live pages on the website, which are viewed millions of times each day.

I have covered a wide variety of issues, such as the floods in Pakistan, the war in Sudan, misinformation around Covid-19 in India and around the world, falsehoods perpetuated during the 2019 UK general election, the October 2019 protests in Lebanon, Kashmiri identity, Sufi culture, and the repatriation of objects from the British Museum.

I have a BA in architecture and peace, conflict and justice studies from the University of Toronto and an MSc in digital journalism from Goldsmiths, University of London.

I enjoy working with and learning from different cultures, and have experience as a teacher in Myanmar, an internship director in Lebanon, a graphic designer in Egypt and in Canada, a junior architect and photographer in India, and as a journalist in the UK.

My work has been featured in a variety of publications including the BBC, The New Arab, First Draft, National Geographic Traveller India and Sacred Footsteps.

I enjoy working on visual stories and am comfortable designing infographics and taking photographs. Most of all, I want to work on large-scale stories that explore histories and backgrounds, break prejudices and enhance our understanding of the world.
